Kufri is a small but beautiful hill station situated in the Shimla District of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is located at an altitude of 2,290 m above the sea level.

Kufri, which was once a part of the Nepal Kingdom, was recognized as a part of Shimla after India gained independence. Kufri is a popular tourist spot attracting thousands of visitors every year. It is famous for two major activities – skiing and Yak riding. The natural beauty of Kufri is awesome. The view of mountains from Kufri looks extremely beautiful.

Kufri is a perfect destination for the adventure lovers during winters, as it organizes an Annual Winter Festival every year in the month of February. Best Time to visit Kufri

The best season to visit Kufri is from April to June. However, one may also visit the place between December and February to enjoy snowfall and skiing.

How to reach Kufri

The nearest airport is the Jubbarhatti airport, which is at a distance of about 50 kms from Kufri. The nearest railway station is at Shimla, which is about 30 kms away from Kufri. The other nearest railway station is at Kalka, which is about 125 kms away from Kufri. Shimla is well connected to the Kalka railway station by The Himalayan Railway (Toy Train).
